‘Gentleman Jack’ TV costumes display now extended to Dec 24th.
6th October 2019
Halifax has been so fortunate to be able to display the TV costumes designed by Tom Pye at the Bankfield Museum for the past 3 months but time is running out to see them. Tourism in Halifax and Calderdale has taken off in 2019 as a result of this TV series based on the diaries written by real local lady Anne Lister who lived at nearby Shibden Hall. Stay in Halifax for a few days and see her diaries in Halifax Library, her burial headstone in Halifax Minster and her home where much of the filming took place. Series 2 is due to be filmed from May 2020 so come quickly as Shibden Hall will be closed. For more information see https://www.visitcalderdale.com
